Concrete Paint and Its Power to Add Character

Definitely, without concrete paint, any concrete surface would just retain its intrinsic properties. Surfaces would be just mere dull gray slabs that both support a building and give it shape and form. Because of concrete paint, people are able to gain the capacity to make such gray and often dull surface more striking. It is in the paint where people apply their own personal touch to a concrete floor or just any other concrete surface.

The color that the concrete paint adds to a concrete floor could give the latter a new guise. For instance, adding a splash of red into a gray concrete floor could help that floor transform from being a dull and gray surface into a striking and more powerful one

What is even better is that the intensity of the surface can now also be manipulated seamlessly. By adding white, black or gray into a paint, you could easily create a new tint or shade that could then create a distinct character from that of the original base paint. The intensity and character, however, would just depend on the ratio between the neutral (the black, white, or gray) and the base paint (any hue). Particularly, the greater the amount of neutral color that you would add into your base paint, the more evident its effect would be.

Aside from adding a new color to a concrete surface, paints for concrete surfaces could also allow a new texture to the surface. If rendered into an unfinished concrete surface, a concrete paint could somehow give the surface a smoother and a shinier effect. The smoothness or the shine would just depend on the number of coats that you would apply on the surface.

The shine and the smoothness vary directly with the amount of coat that you would apply. However and still, you shall also note that the rule of thumb is no more than three coats of paint.

If you think that you are creative enough to render simple artworks using concrete paints, you may opt to make a surface more appealing! You can seamlessly make murals or even a trompe-l'?il that could transform a structure into an architectural wonder. You would just have to be good in using your imagination as the possibilities are endless.

There are virtually no boundaries in using concrete paints for aesthetic purposes. All you have to have, is the creative and the unquestioning mind whenever you try to render with concrete jungles with concrete paint.
